About SleepBetterMD
A small shelf, hand-picked in Hong Kong.
SleepBetterMD is a newly established sleep-products retailer, operated by Shi Tai Intelligent Creation (Hong Kong) Innovative Trade Co., Limited. We launched in 2026, after the parent company was registered in Hong Kong in August 2024.
We are not a clinic, a doctor, or a medical brand. The "MD" in our name stands for Modern Dreaming. We sell consumer sleep products — masks, pillows, earplugs, sleepwear, bedding — and we curate them ourselves.
Our Idea
Asia makes some of the world's best small-batch sleep products. Most of them stay local, because the makers don't translate their sites, don't ship internationally, and don't have marketing budgets.
We're a curated retailer that lives in Hong Kong — close to those makers. Our job is to find the good ones, write honest descriptions of what they are (and aren't), and ship them to customers worldwide.
That's the whole brand.

Where We Work — The Hong Kong Office
Our office is on the 3rd floor of the East Sun Industrial Centre in Kwun Tong, Kowloon — Workshop 60. It is approximately 80 square metres (about 860 square feet), and it serves three roles at once:
- An office. The team works here — merchandising, customer service, accounting.
- A small warehouse. Fast-moving inventory is shelved behind our desks. When you place an order, that's where it ships from.
- A product-review room. Every sample we evaluate gets opened, photographed, used, and discussed at the table by the window.

Where We Land — The San Gabriel Office
We also operate a smaller facility in the United States at 933 S Pine St, San Gabriel, CA 91776. It is a working office and warehouse, staffed by a small team that handles:
- U.S. returns and exchanges — so you can ship returns at domestic postage rates and domestic timelines, rather than mailing internationally.
- Replacements for damaged, defective, or wrong items.
- Occasional U.S.-side replenishment for top sellers that move faster than our international shipping cadence.

Why Source from Hong Kong?
Hong Kong sits in a useful spot. The small Asian sleep-product makers we source from are mostly within a 4-hour flight — Tokyo, Seoul, Taipei, Suzhou, Shenzhen. Local distribution networks mean we can request samples in days rather than weeks. International logistics carriers (YunExpress and SF Express International) operate everyday cross-border parcel routes from here.
It also means our team can read product specifications in three languages and talk directly with the makers. Most are small workshops run by people who have spent decades making the same category of product — pillows, ice silk, contoured eye masks. You cannot replicate that proximity from California or London, so we don't try. We just curate from here.
How We Curate
We are a newly launched store, and we are not trying to be the biggest. About 175 products are listed at the moment; we expect to grow slowly. Every product on the site goes through the same loop:
- A maker pitches us, or someone on the team finds them at a trade fair or in a small shop in Asia.
- They send us samples. We pay for them.
- We use the samples ourselves. A side-sleeper pillow is tested by a side sleeper. A contoured mask is used for at least a week before we write anything about it.
- We list what we would recommend to a friend. We do not list what we wouldn't.
We do not run "best seller" charts or algorithmic personalisation. Our shelf is small on purpose.
What We Will Not Tell You
This part matters, because the "MD" letters in our brand name might suggest otherwise:
- We are not a medical retailer. Our products are consumer comfort goods. They are not medical devices, are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or condition, and have not been evaluated by the FDA or any equivalent regulator.
- "MD" in SleepBetterMD stands for "Modern Dreaming." It does not mean Medical Doctor. None of us is a clinician.
- If you have a health concern about your sleep — please see a qualified physician. Nothing in a box from us is a substitute for medical advice.
- We will not tell you a product is right for everyone. Sleep preferences vary by body type, position, and sensitivity. We try to say who each product is suited to — and who it isn't — on every product page.
What we will tell you: what a product is made of, where it is made, how it was tested by our team, and what we noticed it did not do well.
The Logistics, Plain
All orders ship internationally from our Hong Kong office through YunExpress or SF Express International. U.S. orders typically arrive in 5–8 business days, after 3 business days of order processing.
For U.S. returns: ship back to our San Gabriel office at domestic U.S. postage rates. Most refunds are processed within 2 business days of arrival at the warehouse.

- Tianzhi Chen — Head of D2C. Runs the storefront and customer experience.
